Features
A listing is a company page that is found on either our Fashion or Beauty explore pages (the Preview Cards on these pages bring you to the full listing when you click on them).
As a lister you have a choice of three different subscriptions:
- Basic Subscription (free)
- Standard Subscription (paid)
- Premium Subscription (paid)

Business and brands details are included in all listing subscriptions (Basic, Standard, Premium).
Business and brand details allow listers to provide the following information to the general public (these filters are found on the left side of the Explore pages):
- Name, Category, Company Type, Made For, Ownership, Style (Fashion only), Specialty, Price Range, Inclusivity, Head Office, Addresses, Directions
Direct Contact Info is included in all listing subscriptions (Basic, Standard, Premium).
To help people easily reach Listing owners and to help get Listings found in search engines, NAP (Name, Address, and Phone Number) is critical information to include in a Listing.
While including a Name (i.e., Listing Title) is a given, Listings can contain the following information in an actionable format (ex., click-to-call) where possible to make things even more convenient for users of the platform.
- Contact Email (Click to Email)
- Phone Number (Click to Call)
- Website (Click to Browse)
Built-in Contact Form is included in all listing subscriptions (Basic, Standard, Premium).
All Listings include a built-in contact form, so people always have an easy way to reach out to Listing owners.
The email address used when signing up for the platform will be the default recipient address, which can be changed at any time.

Map & Directions is included in all listing subscriptions (Basic, Standard, Premium).
Listing owners can have their addresses shown for quick reference, as well as shown on a map, providing quick access to directions for users.
Reviews are included in all listing subscriptions (Basic, Standard, Premium).
Listings can be rated by the general public, helping Listing owners build their reputation by accumulating positive feedback.
Reviews are always moderated, can only be submitted by registered users, and Listing owners cannot review their own Listings.
The analytics dashboard is included in all listing subscriptions (Basic, Standard, Premium).
From your account dashboard, you can easily view valuable information about your overall Listing footprint on our platform.
The analytics are laid out in a clean, simple fashion that’s easy to understand and digest.
- Listing Views (Unique): A visitor has looked at your Listing, and the uniqueness is determined by their IP address.
- Listing Views: If a unique visitor ever looks at your Listing again, this counts as a ‘view’.
- Pending Listing: This is indicating that your listing is waiting to be approved by our team.
- Active Promotions: This is indicating if you have any Listings that have been promoted.
Taglines are included in the paid subscriptions (Standard, Premium).
Listings can add their company tagline text as an overlay on the Cover Image (on the listing page).
This helps to solidify company branding and help potential customers identify what type of store/brand you are more quickly.
Cover images are included in the paid subscriptions (Standard, Premium).
Cover Images are essential for portraying brands, products, services, etc.
For those that are highly visual, the Cover image could be what makes someone ultimately choose your Listing.
Image gallery is included in the paid subscriptions (Standard, Premium).
Image galleries are ideal for communicating your branding, products, services, etc., and for those highly visual, the right images could ultimately make them choose you.
Up to 3 images can be added to an Image Gallery.
Business descriptions are included in the paid subscriptions (Standard, Premium).
On the Listing page, business owners can write a business description of their choice to provide more information to the general public; this is a great spot to really highlight your business.
Social media links are included in the paid subscriptions (Standard, Premium).
Links to Social Networks can be added to Listings, and when a link is added, the name of the network and the corresponding icon are automatically added.
If someone chooses to click on one of the Social Networks, that network’s website will open in a new browser tab so that users can stay on the Listing.
Bonus gallery images are included in the Premium subscription.
Up to 12 images can be added to Bonus Image Galleries and this is great for further showcasing a brand or business.
- Products, services, logos, events, and more.
Embed video is included in the Premium subscription.
Videos uploaded to services like YouTube or Vimeo can be easily embedded into a Listing.
Regular YouTube videos (e.g., https://youtu.be/xyz ) or YouTube Shorts (e.g., youtube.com/shorts/xyz) are allowed.

Google review embedding is included in the Premium subscription.
These are reviews that we help Listing owners pull in from Google. While we do have some control, some aspects are out of our hands.
Google review embedding is different than our in-house reviews which are only from our users; google reviews once embedded would appear in the same Review section as our in-house reviews (side by side from each other).
This option is included in the Premium subscription.
As a premium subscriber, you’ll have the opportunity once per month to offer discounts and/or event info to the Deets4 clientelle list (either through our email list or our social media channels).
This option is included in the Premium subscription.
As a premium subscriber, you’ll have a monthly opportunity to get shout-outs and/or postings on our social media channels.
Search Prominence
- Listings appear in order of subscription (ie. Premium listings appear first, then Standard listings, and then Basic listings).
- Promoted Listings are the only Listings that are given more prominence, above Basic, Standard, & Premium level Listings.
- Example – if you have a Premium listing, it will appear above Standard & Basic listings, but below Promoted listings.
Listing Prominence
- all listings will hold their spot for as long as it takes for new Listings or Promoted Listings to push them out (i.e. if you have a Premium Listing and are at the top of the page, it will only last until someone else signs up for a Premium listing and then they take top spot).
TIP: To hold onto your Search and Listing Prominence longer or to help guarantee both, we recommend promoting your Listings.
Management
Listings are tied to a subscription, so as long as a Listing subscription is active, the Listings tied to that subscription will be as well.
Absolutely! Visit the Subscriptions area of your account dashboard, view the subscription you would like to change, and switch your plan.
Promotions
Boost your Listings, giving them a higher priority in search and additional placement throughout our platform.
Listings are easily promoted by visiting the Listings area of your dashboard and clicking on the ‘Promote’ icon for any Listing you would like to Promote.
Note – Listing Promotion packages are purchased separately from your Listing subscription, and each package carries with it a different priority level. All Promotion Packages are for 90 days.
There are three levels of Promotions:
Bronze:
- Appear higher in search results than non-promoted Listings (regular subscriber listings) but lower than Silver and Gold promoted listings.
Silver:
- Appear higher in search results than Bronze promoted Listings, but lower than Gold promoted Listings.
- Appear on our Home page as a Featured Listing.
Gold:
- Appear higher in search results than all other promotional levels.
- Appear on our Home page as a Featured Listing.
Note – regardless of which Promotion package you have, your spot at the top remains until another listing with a higher or newer promotion pushes you out of your spot…thus all top spots can fluctuate depending on the number of listings with promotions at any given time.

Access
You can log into your account by clicking on ‘Sign In’ within the menu area or using this direct link.
Once logged in, you can access all areas of your account by clicking on ‘Dashboard’ within the menu area.
Management
Once logged in, you can change your password using this link.
If you are currently logged out, you can change your password by clicking the ‘Reset Password’ link on the login page.

Billing
Payment
We use Stripe as our payment processor, allowing us to provide secure credit card transactions.
Once logged in, you can update your credit card info by clicking on ‘Account’ within your dashboard or using this direct link.
Orders
Once logged in, you can view your orders by clicking on ‘Orders’ within your dashboard or using this direct link.
Subscriptions
Once logged in, subscriptions can be upgraded or downgraded anytime by clicking on ‘Subscriptions’ within your dashboard or using this direct link.
You will then use the ‘Switch Plan’ feature to change your subscriptions as desired.
Once logged in, subscriptions can be canceled anytime by clicking on ‘Subscriptions’ within your dashboard or using this direct link.
Yes at some point in the future the subscription pricing will increase. As we grow our clientele, increase our listing options, and raise our google ratings, the price will increase to reflect the value of a listing spot on our website.
Subscribers’ pricing will not be increased without being told. At such time, subscribers will have the option to continue their subscription at the new price, or cancel their subscription. Subscription prices will not increase during the remainder of 2023 for sure.
General
Advertising
We have ad space on:
- Destination Pages (Home Page > Toronto/ON, Vancouver/BC, Montreal/QC, Calgary/AB)
- All Blog Category and Blog Post pages
- Newsletters
No definitely not. There are many companies in similar/related industries that would benefit greatly from ad space on our website. Any company with a similar clientele would be a excellent fit.

Criteria
No, we do have certain criteria. At a minimum, your company needs to:
- have a proper website (not a social page page as website, not Etsy, etc)
- sell in Canadian currency
- have a store located in Canada (if applicable)
- if you’re an online store, your warehouse needs to be located within Canada
- have professional looking branding

Industry
At this time we only list stores and brands. We do plan on adding other types of listings in the future (ie. influencers, malls, makeup artists, fashion consultants, etc).
If this is you and you’re interested please reach out to us so we can contact you once we’re ready to move in that direction.
In the meantime you may want to consider advertising on our website since our clientele would be your ideal audience.

Users
Account
You can log into your account by clicking on ‘Sign In’ within the menu area or using this direct link.
Upon registering for an account with us you’ll be sent an email asking if you want to sign up for newsletters.
Alternatively, you can sign up for our newsletters on the footer / bottom of our website.
You don’t need an account to browse our website. The main reason for users to register for an account is so they can Save listings as Favourites and write Reviews.
Website
We do our best to keep listings up to date but of course changes can occur without our knowledge. If you see any incorrect information please tell us so we can update it.
We continue to add new listings on a regular basis. To stay on top of new listings, please be sure to be subscribed to our newsletters.
On the side menu/filter option, scroll to the bottom until you see ‘Order By’ and pick the ‘Latest’ option.
Note that all features listings (i.e. listings with images on them) will show up first regardless of this search option….scroll down to the first listings that do not have cover images (i.e. they are in grey) to see the beginning list of the latest added to our website.
We pick the ‘ungendered’ filter for companies that have clothing or beauty products that are not typically geared toward women or men – meaning they would be most likely to be worn/used by those who prefer more gender neutral options.
We only allow companies or brands that are either made in Canada, owned by a Canadian and have a location in Canada, or owned by a foreigner but have a location in Canada. There are filters on the side menu to search by these options.
Note – we do not list companies that are outside of Canada but ship to Canada. For an online store to be listed with us, they must be shipping from within Canada (i.e. no duties/brokerage/import fees), and using Canadian currency.
An online brand is a company that makes their own products, while an online reseller is a store that sells many different brands.
Example – Canada Goose is a company/brand that makes their own products, while The Bay is a store that sells many different brands of products.
Next
One of our most exciting new features that is coming soon to our Fashion category will be our Tags. You’ll soon be able to search by Tags to better narrow down your choices and find styles you like (example – search by ‘vintage’, ‘streetwear’, ‘minimal’, ‘bohemian’, or ‘sporty’.
Note – the tags will only be applied to a company/brand that has ‘easily found’ items in that category – not to a company/brand that only has a small selection of that particular style.
We plan on continually expanding our listing selection. For example, we will be adding in options for makeup artists, fashion consultants, influencers, wholesalers, etc.
